How to select mens shoes

There is more to choosing men’s shoes, particularly men’s dress shoes than just the color and the price. Women are the best when it comes to selecting their shoes. It is almost an art that women have actually perfected over the years. This is the main reason why it takes women hours to be able to purchase a single pair of shoes. With prices going up drastically, it is important to select a pair of dress shoes that would last you for more than the special occasion for which you buy your shoes. Here are a few tried and tested tips that women have used that you can use as well.

Have you ever wondered why it takes your girlfriend about an hour to try a number of pairs of shoes and not to get any of them? The answer is simple. The more that your feet get accustomed to the shoes on your feet as you walk around, the more you can determine whether the shoes are indeed comfortable. Nothing can be worse than buying a $150 pair of dress shoes only to start limping an hour after walking in them. Stand up when you try the shoes, walk around the shoe store, tiptoe if you have to. If you feel any slight discomfort, do not select it. Remember, you would be wearing this for more than 5 minutes so if it hurts now, chances are that it’s going to hurt even more when you start using them regularly.

After a grueling workout in the gym, your muscles tend to appear larger than they usually are. That is because the more you use the muscles, the more they tend to swell. The same thing applies with men’s dress shoes. When you go to special occasions, you would not be spending the entire time sitting down, unlike your regular working day. Over time, muscles located around your feet, just like any used muscles would eventually swell, causing that pinching feeling you feel after wearing your mens dress shoes after an hour or so. By choosing men’s dress shoes a half size larger than your usual size would allow room for the swelling that is sure to occur, removing that pinching feeling entirely.

It is always advisable to shop for your shoes in the evenings. Because by this time, you would have spent the entire day walking and jogging at some periods and as such, your feet would be larger than it is. While you cannot see it, you will definitely feel it. Shopping for your men’s dress shoes in the late afternoon after work or early in the evening would allow you to feel how the shoes will be after using it for a considerable amount of time. As such, you will tend to become more sensitive to any tightness around the toes. Chances are if the dress shoes that you are fitting are extremely comfortable right now, it will be comfortable throughout the entire event.
